Blog / 2017 / Self-confidence as an Artist

October 9, 2017

For more about my grandmother and the ways that women are trained to be small, check out this video. Even 14 years into my career, I still get asked a lot how I am qualified to be an artist. I’m only able to answer why I price my art the way I do or why I think my opinions are worth sharing without being shaken because I have learned to enjoy taking up space.

The paintings I show in the video are from my 2003 collection of portraits of gallery owners called Critics Critiqued.

Maybe this post made you think of something you want to share with me? Or perhaps you have a question about my art? I’d love to hear from you!
