Blog / 2015 / The Artist’s Path: Art Schools as well as Schooling for Artists

June 15, 2015

I didn’t just study visual arts either, and the theater training I’ve had was very formative. Also, as a way to provide context for what I’ve shared in my video, I feel like I should note here that my thoughts about Master of Fine Art degrees are not particularly positive.

I was not yet 21 when I created this woodcut portrait. The sure lines of printmaking definitely feature in the evolution of my painting style. For more of my early art, check out this gallery.

This painting already has a forever home—see a list of works currently for sale—but there prints and other pretties with Hellion on it in my Redbubble shop.

Maybe this post made you think of something you want to share with me? Or perhaps you have a question about my art? I’d love to hear from you!
