I met Vince through a flier with tear-off phone numbers on the post office’s bulletin board, a fact that encapsulates so perfectly what it is to live in this deeply kind little town that I’m sure it sounds like I made it up. Vince was advertising a martial arts class my partner was interested in, but it turned out he’s a visual artist as well, like so many in Friend Request. Winifred, Cindy, Eleanor, Kelly, Hope, and SiriOm and Ayala all make art!
