The first time I painted a bear was in 2012, and I painted five at the same time, a group that was engaging in a moment that’s just as sweet as the one shown in Feeding the Parrot. This piece is part of a series of painted drawings that I created to illustrate my book about why I don’t copyright my work, and you can see the making of it.
