I’m Gwenn Seemel and I’ve been a full-time artist since 2003. I moved to Lambertville in 2022.

Our neighbors—both the human ones and the furry ones—have been the faces of my art, and our public space has been a venue for my creativity. Last year, I leveraged the power of art to get the D&R Canal State Park to clean up the hateful vandalism that plagued the Alexauken Creek Spillway Bridge after it reopened in 2023—this NJarts.net interview explains that project in some detail.

I often show my art in the front window of my apartment door which is right next to La Chocolate Box, and in 2025 this painting of the author James Baldwin was on display in sculptor Winifred Weiss’ window on Church Street—you can see the making of this piece here on my blog.
