Blog / 2025 / A Book about the Infinite Possibilities of Being
January 31, 2025
This is a brand new edition of Crime Against Nature, a book that was originally released in 2012. This version uses OpenDyslexic, a font that makes reading more accessible, and it comes with a preface that addresses my journey with this project as well as 2025’s challenges to our enduring queerness.
You can download a free PDF or invite these facts to take up space in the real world by purchasing a print copy.

VIDEO TRANSCRIPT
These days, a lot of people who are not very well informed are speaking very loudly on a lot of topics, including gender. They are promoting ideas about how boys should be, and how girls should be, and how there are only boys and girls—that’s it.
If those ideas seem problematic to you, or if they used to seem a bit iffy and now you’re not so sure because those people are really really loud, then this book is for you. Crime Against Nature reveals the true crime against nature, which is all of the misinformation we’ve been fed about how things actually are in the natural world.
I’m talking about species in which girls are larger and more powerful than boys, species in which boys are prettier than girls, species in which it’s hard to tell the difference between boys and girls. And there’s different kinds of boys and different kinds of girls. And gender is delightfully complicated!
Crime Against Nature is a children’s book for the kid in all of us, the person who still sees the infinite possibilities of being. It’s available for purchase in hardcover, softcover, and you can download it for free from my website.
