Blog / 2021 / The “I Got My COVID-19 Vaccine” Stickers and T-shirts
March 19, 2021
We all know one or two, right? The people who either outright refuse to get any of COVID-19 vaccines or who will get their shot(s) but only under duress.
To a certain degree, I understand. I tend to avoid pharmaceuticals, using nutrition, exercise, and mindfulness as much as possible to treat my two chronic medical issues.
That said, I draw the line at a global pandemic. Millions of people have died in just a year and, even in these early days, the longterm effects of this virus are looking very scary for some unlucky individuals. Plus, COVID-19 has demonstrated that its mutations can aggravate an already completely craptastic situation. The more people who are vaccinated, the safer we all are. I intend to do my part.
All this inevitably led me to make some happy vaccine art. This isn’t about bragging that you got the very-hard-to-come-by vaccine. Rather, this is in the vein of the “I voted” or “I gave blood today” stickers you get when you do your duty.
It’s been proven again and again that humans like to do what the people around them are doing. We like to fit in. If someone wearing happy vaccine art can influence a neighbor who’s been on the fence to go ahead and get their coronavirus shot(s), I will be thrilled!
You can buy masks and stickers of the COVID-19 Vaccine Duckleeng here, and you can get t-shirts and postcards with the “I Got My COVID-19 Vaccine” art on it here in my Redbubble shop.
Maybe this post made you think of something you want to share with me? Or perhaps you have a question about my art? I’d love to hear from you!
