I made a video right after Roo passed away. I talk more about my understanding of the universe and our place in it in this post.
I painted this tiny portrait for my mother, even though I know I’ve given her way too many paintings over the years. In making the painting, I realized that the gift wasn’t in the object itself but in the act of creating. I was sharing my grief with her by making the piece, and in sharing grief becomes a bit easier.

Art is the love of other humans made tangible across space and time. When a person can’t get a hug from a friend, art is there to make them feel seen and understood. Please share my work with your favorite people!
Maybe this post made you think of something you want to tell me? I’d love to hear from you.
