Blog / 2012 / Between Portraiture and Figurative Art

February 6, 2012

Too often, the fundamental and important differences between portraiture and figurative art are confused, and that pains me since I don’t much like the tone of a lot of figurative art. Care is what makes the painting of a person a portrait, and nothing else will get the job done! You can commission me to paint your portrait.

Art is the love of other humans made tangible across space and time. When a person can’t get a hug from a friend, art is there to make them feel seen and understood. Please share my work with your favorite people!

Maybe this post made you think of something you want to tell me? Or perhaps you have a question about my art? I’d love to hear from you!
