I’ve been painting on bags since 2007, when the idea of fine art that’s meant to be destroyed as it’s loved first popped into my head. It’s not a concept that’s popular with certain people, but I’ve kept at it, because, if I’ve learned anything in my time on this planet, it’s that taking art out of the everyday harms us all.

This Pegasus is based on a 2009 one that’s a small detail in this painting as well as this flying horse from 2013, which is part of my Chinese Zodiac series.
