I made this pair of “before” and “after” paintings surrounding my second surgery to treat my endometriosis. I have a bit of a thing for “before” and “after” portraits, as evidenced by this series from 2006 and 2007. What’s more, I tend to use self-portraits to work through my emotions a lot. This post shows the making of Fragile, and this one is about Sensual.
