I don’t know which it is: either people make this mischievous face naturally or I inspire it in them—from early on like with these paitnings from 2004 and 2005 but also from much later like with this portrait from 2022.

I painted a different Bud in 2004, but the one picture here remains my favorite. He was a friend of my father’s and a great supporter of my work.
