Liquid Glacier (Multnomah Falls, Oregon)
2021
acrylic, colored pencil, and marker on paper
11 x 7 inches
Despite what Milan Art Institute says about Liquid Glacier in their video “Real Art vs AI Art - Can Pro Artists Spot the Difference?” this painting wasn’t made by a robot, but by me. And my humanity is very much on display in everything I have to say about Milan Art Institute’s mistake as well as the company’s decision not to post a proper correction until the video had received 103k views.
I painted this landscape as part of my COVID-across-America road trip collection. Unlike this Yellowstone piece or this Devil’s Tower image, Liquid Glacier is an homage to my youth. Growing up in Oregon, I spent hours hiking the trails around Multnomah Falls.
