My first sea turtle painting happened in 2016, inspired by my move to a beach community in New Jersey. This one was commissioned through Patreon by one of my lovely supporters, and I was glad to have a second chance at depicting the turtle’s plated skin. The wrinkles and mosaic of armor require me to work a little differently—with a special kind of patience and concentration—and I love the challenge! You can watch the making of this painting.
