Blog / 2019 / End Times Ideation and Our Collective Potential
October 10, 2019
The term “end times ideation” comes from the concept of suicidal ideation—the mental space in which you think about killing yourself. I’m pretty sure I made up “end times ideation” and, for me, it sums up perfectly our collective mood.
And speaking of inventing language, the environmental philospher who coined the term “solastalgia” emailed me last summer to tell me that the art featured in this blog post is “fabulous.” (The fact that his compliment is 100% my favorite celebrity endorsement that my art has ever received reveals just about everything you need to know about who I am.)
The painting of bees featured in this video was commissioned through Patreon by one of my lovely supporters for just $150, including shipping. I’ve recently had a lot more interest in that support tier ($50 per month for three months), and I am not sure how long I am going to be able to keep it at that price, so, if commissioning me like this interests you, get on it!
