Blog / 2012 / Putting It in Perspective

June 3, 2012

My upcoming series Crime Against Nature will, when it’s finished, have 55 or 56 paintings in it. As of today, I’ve completed just 28 of them.

This fact can stress me out some and make me wonder what it will take to have the project completed in time for the November opening.

At the same time, I’m not so far gone that I can’t see what I’ve accomplished. The largest series I’ve created to date is Apple Pie, and it had just 19 works in it.

Which is to say that Crime Against Nature is a big undertaking for me, and I’m altogether rather pleased with how I’m managing so far.

UPDATE

You can now purchase or download Crime Against Nature the book! It contains all 56 images and the stories behind them.

Art is the love of other humans made tangible across space and time. When a person can’t get a hug from a friend, art is there to make them feel seen and understood. Please share my work with your favorite people!
