Artwork / Everything’s Fine / The Five Stages of Not Fitting In: Superior, Different, Weird, Wrong, Rejected
What does the flamingo in the foreground say? How about the ones in the back? What do you think happened in the moment before this image?
I get so tired of trying to fit in, bending over backwards and tying myself in knots in order to be what the world thinks I should to be. Sometimes it feels like everyone but me manages to get in line with the other plastic flamingos.
Do you blend in with the lawn ornaments or are you struggling to find your place? When do you feel superior, different, weird, wrong, or rejected?
You can watch the making of The Five Stages of Not Fitting In.
