Making this image was a big deal for me. As you can see in the video, I had a false start with it, but this mixed media piece is the first bit of art that I both began and finished after the COVID-19 stay-at-home orders began in the US and the dread of the crisis set in. It gives me hope that I’ll still be able to make art even though I’ve been having some trouble in the studio recently.
