Blog / 2016 / Not Everybody Loves You.

March 7, 2016

I struggle with this stuff, because I want to be a good person. I want to be sensitive to other people’s needs and to help them be who they want to be in whatever way I can, all without allowing myself to be damaged in the process.

It’s a tall order and the work of a lifetime, but I’m already good at parts of it. I never pretend to be someone I’m not just to make a sale and I recognize when people are trying to make their problem my problem some of the time. I want to get better at establishing healthy boundaries. My goal is to not take things personally, while still being able to hear valuable feedback about how my behavior impacts others.

Maybe this post made you think of something you want to share with me? Or perhaps you have a question about my art? I’d love to hear from you!
