My half of this diptych was the first painting I completed for the series, and the difference in style between it and the last one I finished is a great snapshot of the evolution of my style over a period of a year and a half. When I did an entire series of 56 paintings on panel in 2012, my technique changed again. More than canvas, wood shows off my intricate mark-making, so I started doing more of it, like in this piece.
