“Be kind and be well.” That’s how the mayor signs his weekly email updates to all Lambertvillains. He also keeps regular office hours, where anyone can visit with him to discuss concerns, and, at the first open hours I went to, he’d made scones for all who came by.

The fact is that, when I want to explain the LBV to those who’ve never heard of it, I use the paragraph above and then add that the entire town also celebrates Halloween in a big way, because, to me, that says everything about who we are as a community.
