I used the same source photo to make this print and to paint this portrait. That’s unusual for me. I prefer not to repeat myself—though I am happy to do so in the right circumstances, like with this painting and this public art piece.

I’m much more likely to make several images of the same person using different source photos, as with this portrait and this one. In fact, it’s a tendency that I have twice used to build entire bodies of work, once in 2007 and once in 2017.
